The heated round cast rod is extruded from the mold using an aluminum extruder. The commonly used aluminum material 6063 alloy also undergoes an air-cooled quenching process and subsequent artificial aging process during extrusion to achieve heat treatment strengthening. Different grades of heat-treatable strengthening alloys have different heat treatment systems. After strengthening, a W-20 Vickers hardness tester can be used for hardness testing.
