Aluminum profile frame helps reduce costs and increase efficiency of photovoltaic modules

Aluminum is a highly abundant metal on Earth, and aluminum alloy is based on aluminum with a certain amount of other alloying elements added. It also has many excellent properties and is widely used in industry and daily life. Aluminum alloy frames have always been one of the important auxiliary materials for photovoltaic modules, developing together with the photovoltaic industry. Aluminum profile frames help reduce costs and increase efficiency of photovoltaic modules.

Aluminum alloy frames have always been an essential auxiliary material for photovoltaic modules, mainly due to the advantages of aluminum alloy materials themselves, including:

1) Low density, aluminum has a density of about 2.7g/cm3, which is only the second light metal higher than magnesium in metal structural materials, only one-third of iron or copper;

2) Easy to strengthen, pure aluminum has low strength, but it is easy to strengthen through alloying and heat treatment. Manufacturing high-strength aluminum alloys with strength comparable to alloy steel, therefore, it has high elasticity, rigidity, metal fatigue value, is not easy to deform, and can effectively protect solar panels;

3) Aluminum has good conductivity, second only to silver, gold, and copper in terms of conductivity and thermal conductivity. If calculated based on the conductivity of metals of equal mass, aluminum is almost twice that of copper. So it is beneficial for component installation grounding;

4) High plasticity, good ductility of aluminum and its alloys, and can be made into various shapes, plates, foils, tubes, and wires through pressure processing methods such as extrusion, rolling, or drawing;

5) Easy to surface treat, aluminum can be anodized and colored, with high hardness, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and good electrical insulation after treatment. Chemical pretreatment can also be used for electroplating, electrophoresis, spraying, etc. to further improve the decorative and protective properties of aluminum;

6) Corrosion resistance, strong oxidation resistance, aluminum and oxygen have a high affinity, and under natural conditions, aluminum surface will generate protective oxides, which have stronger corrosion resistance than steel. Due to this advantage, aluminum alloy profiles are widely used in various fields such as construction and industry;

7) Convenient transportation and installation, even if the surface is scratched, it will not oxidize and will not affect performance;

8) Long service life, aluminum alloy generally has a lifespan of 30-50 years or more. The lifespan of the battery panel is 25-30 years, so it can fully meet the usage requirements;

9) Beautiful appearance: After anodizing treatment, the surface of aluminum alloy can appear silver white, black, etc., which meets aesthetic requirements;

10) Easy to recycle, aluminum has a low melting temperature of around 660 ° C, and the waste is easy to regenerate. The recovery rate is extremely high, and the energy consumption for recycling is only 3% of the original aluminum.
